Praised for her ability to bring great passion, strength, humor, and vulnerability to her performances, Rekha Sharma began her career in the theater and soon found herself working on camera. Recently on Star Trek: Discovery as Commander Ellen Landry, Rekha is most widely known for her portrayal of Tory Foster on the award-winning series Battlestar Galactica. Her numerous credits include The 100, the re-imagined V, Supernatural, Smallville, The Core, and many more. Rekha has lived in outer space and been a Cylon, a lizard, a goddess, and an evil doctor in her “made-up” life. In real life, she was born in Canada to a family from the Fiji Islands. She’s studied Counseling Psychology and Fine Art, and has dabbled with Indian classical music, modern dance, kung fu, yoga, and meditation. She’s a great fan of truth, art, music, magic, love, silliness, and food. |
