Darren Jacobs is an award-winning actor from Yorkshire, England, who studied performing arts in London and New York on scholarships.

Recent projects include Dunkirk, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, and Papillion. Darren’s voice has been used in the international campaign for the new Jimmy Choo Man fragrance, as well as the computer game DragonAge: Inquisition. He’s recorded twelve radio plays for Blue Hours Production’s Peabody Award-nominated Suspense series. Darren appeared in the scifi pilot Nobility (with Christopher Judge, Cas Anvar, Torri Higginson, Walter Koenig, Doug Jones, Ellen Dubin, Adrienne Wilkinson, and James Kyson) and the upcoming film Elevator Gods. He starred as the lead in the two-part scifi Starship series, for which he received the Best Actor Award at the Action-On Film Festival. He’s played Oliver Graham in Hollyoaks; Morten in The Mortician; and Jimmy in Young, Armed, and Dangerous.

Darren worked in London’s West End in the world premiere casts of Chitty Chitty Bang! Bang! (London Palladium); Sinatra (London Palladium); and Matthew Bourne’s The Car Man (Old Vic, London, UK tour, European tour, US tour). He also appeared in the West End casts of Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake (Dominion Theatre, UK Tour); Follies Charity Gala (London Palladium); Matthew Bourne’s Nutcracker (Sadler’s Wells, UK tour, Asian tour); The Wizard of Oz (Royal Festival Hall); and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Dominion Theatre).

Regional productions include The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe (West Yorkshire Playhouse); Follies (Royal and Derngate, Northampton); Peter Pan (Bristol Hippodrome); Babes in Arms (Chichester Festival Theatre); The Wizard of Oz (Royal and Derngate, Northampton); Gypsy (UK tour); and The Railway Children (Birmingham Rep.). He was proud to be cast in the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Beauty and the Beast in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Darren is currently editing Reaper, the third novel in his dark teen fantasy series Anumal Empire.
